Joel Seigel, President and CEO of Gentec International, announced today that his company has been named the exclusive distributor for Klipsch Group, Inc. in Canada. Effective September 1, Gentec will begin offering the Klipsch®, Mirage®, Energy® and Jamo® speaker brands to its customers.

“Our team at Gentec is absolutely ecstatic that we have entered into a long-term distribution agreement with the Klipsch Group,” stated Seigel.

According to T. Paul Jacobs, president and COO of Klipsch Group, Inc., Gentec has been a terrific partner since August 2006, developing the Energy brand of car audio and accessories in the Canadian markets. “This expanded relationship places our complete range of premium products—from home theatre to headphones—into the Gentec portfolio,” Jacobs noted.

“The Klipsch Group’s audio and home theatre products will now become the cornerstone of Gentec’s consumer electronics division,” added Seigel. “Our focus is to build upon the current successes of these four brands by broadening distribution and consumer awareness.”

Seigel also noted that the Klipsch Group has recently become a global leader in headphone and headset design. “Developing this fast-growing category within consumer electronics retail and the mobile phone space is of strategic importance to both companies.”

As the Klipsch Group continues to implement new global strategies, Jacobs believes that partnering with like-minded organizations creates a synergy that not only benefits his company, but ultimately leads to a better customer experience.
