Gentec International is pleased to announce that Hugh Leung has joined the company as Western Regional Sales Manager. With over 17 years of experience in the Consumer Electronics & I.T industry, Hugh is a seasoned sales professional with extensive knowledge in retail sales, business-to-business sales, distribution and product management. His proven track record in business development and marketing makes him an invaluable asset to the team.
Prior to joining Gentec International, Hugh worked for Amazfit, one of the top-ranked smartwatches in the wearable technology space, where he managed the entire Canadian territory. During his tenure, he created the distribution channel, cold-calling distribution partners and retail accounts, while also managing all marketing initiatives, investments, and planning.
Hugh’s dedication to his work and winning mentality are reflected in his achievements at Amazfit, such as being named the Employee of the Month for North America in 2022, receiving the Excellent Employee Award for North America in the same quarter, and achieving the second-highest global ranking for marketing development funds in the company.
In addition to his business acumen, Hugh is also a badminton coach/mentor and has been coaching for over 15 years. He brings the same dedication and enthusiasm to his work that he brings to his coaching. As a logical thinker, Hugh works well with others to strategize plans to meet company goals, making him an excellent team player.

In his new role, Hugh will be responsible for overseeing sales for Gentec International’s entire Western Canadian territory. He will be working closely with the company’s suppliers and retail accounts. He will also be managing marketing initiatives, investments, and planning with those accounts. His experience in sales and business development will enable him to continue building relationships with high-profile retail and commercial businesses.
