Gentec International is pleased to announce the new Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 IF EX DG HSM lens, a compact, large aperture, standard zoom lens designed for professional use.

Utilizing the latest optical design, this compact lens comes in at an overall length of 94.7cm (3.7 inches). It is ideal for general photography, such as snapshots, portraiture, and landscapes. The Super Multi Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting. Extraordinary Low Dispersion (ELD) glass, two Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass elements, and three aspherical lenses provide excellent correction of all types of aberrations. Superior optical performance is ensured throughout the entire zoom range.

This pro level lens incorporates a compact Inner Focus (IF) system and a Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM), ensuring quiet, high-speed autofocusing, as well as full time manual focusing capability. It offers a minimum focusing distance of 38 cm (15 inches) and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:5.3. The rounded 9-blade diaphragm creates an attractive blur for shallow depth-of-field images. A petal-type hood is supplied to block out extraneous light.

The Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 IF EX DG HSM includes a case and petal-type lens hood. The suggested retail price of the lens is $1399.95.
