Gentec Invests in the Future with a Building Expansion to be Completed February 2009.
Joel Seigel, President and CEO of Gentec International, is pleased to announce the expansion of Gentec’s Markham, Ontario facilities, scheduled for completion in February 2009. “To better serve our customers and to allow for future growth, we are expanding,” stated Mr. Seigel. “Gentec is currently under construction with the expansion of our 75,000 square feet hi-cube Canadian headquarters and distribution centre, adding an additional 26,000 square feet.” The larger space features state-of-the-art construction, including high-strength steel storage racking that will provide up to 2,800 additional skid locations. Additional dock doors are included for receiving and returns processing, with the balance dedicated to shipping. The expansion has been designed with conservation as a main focus. Environmental lighting and waste processing systems will ensure energy and environmental efficiency. The warehouse will incorporate high-output T5 light fixtures, replacing existing low-efficiency mercury lighting. A Stormceptor has been installed to reduce rain water overflowing into the storm system. Once completed, the new facility will allow Gentec to service its retail partners with even greater efficiency, reflecting Gentec’s ongoing commitment to customer service, support, and satisfaction.
