How do I get spare parts for my tripod?

Thousands of spare parts are available for Manfrotto tripods dating back over 20 years. To order parts in Canada, simply follow the steps below:

Head over to www.manfrottospares.com and look up your tripod to find the exact part numbers you require.

Contact the Gentec service department by phone or e-mail with the part numbers you need.

The products will be available for pickup in Markham, ON, or may be shipped to you at an additional fee.

WHAT TO DO WHEN SERVICE IS NEEDED ON YOUR MANFROTTO PRODUCTS IN CANADA

 Step 1: Package the product and relevant accessories carefully, using ample padding materials and a sturdy mailing container to prevent damage in transit.

 Step 2: Include in package:

Complete name, return address and daytime telephone number (fax number and e-mail address optional).

Detailed description of the problem.

Where practical, a sample evidencing the problem.

For warranty repairs, a copy of the dated sales slip of original purchase.

 Step 3: Customer pays shipping to Gentec International and we cover the return shipping for all in warranty repairs.

If there is a cost associated with your repair, you should receive an estimate from our service team within 2-3 business days of its arrival at Gentec. If your product is covered under a warranty repair, your item will be repaired and sent back to you.

If your item is not covered under warranty, a $40 estimate fee (plus tax) will be charged upon estimate rejection or if you do not respond to the estimate. If there is no response to the estimate after 60 days, your product may be sent to recycling. If you accept the estimate, this fee is waived. Rejected estimates and all out of warranty repairs that require return shipping are subject to a $10 freight charge.

If the repair is covered under warranty, return shipping to the customer will be covered by Gentec International. If the item is not covered under warranty, the customer will be responsible for all return shipping fees, whether or not the repair estimate is approved.

How long does it take for an item to be repaired?
Most repairs will be completed in 5 to 10 business days from the date they arrive. Please add additional time at each end of the process for shipping into and out of our facility.

Who pays the shipping on repairs?
Shipping for repair is the responsibility of the owner of the product. For warranty repairs, Gentec will cover cost of return shipping.

How do I know if my repair will be covered under warranty?
If you meet all the requirements of a warrant repair, we will proceed with the repair as usual and it should be back to you within the specified time frame. If we find that the product does not fall within our warranty guidelines, you will be contacted with an explanation why, and an estimate of the cost of the repair.

Can I purchase replacement accessories from you?
Accessories can be purchased for your product through one of our authorized dealers.

Can I get a tracking number for the return shipment of my repair?
If you require a tracking number, you will need to contact us and request it.

How can I track the progress of my repair?
Please contact us for information regarding the progress of your repair.

Do you have an estimate for my repair?
Estimates are created as soon as possible after receiving the, and we contact you as quickly as possible once this done. If you have not yet received an estimate, then we have not produced one yet.

Has my repair been seen by a technician yet?

Have you received the item I sent for repair?

Do you warranty your repairs?
All repairs will carry the original length of warranty. Repairs that are done out of warranty will be covered for parts and labor for 90 days.

Do you offer cleaning services for lenses?
Yes, we will perform an exterior or complete interior cleaning of the lens as you request. Please note that these will be charged at our normal repair labor rate. As well, lenses normally collect dust on the inner elements, this does not hinder the performance of the optics of the lens.

What if I cannot find my original bill of sale or invoice to request warranty repairs?
We require proof of purchase from an authorized Canadian retailer in order to perform warranty work.

Do you offer walk in service?
We do have a walk in service option. You can drop off the item to be repaired, and pick it up when it is complete. This shortens the repair time by the amount of shipping days at each end of the process.

Can I speak to a repair technician about my repair?
When you call in we can update you on the progress of your repair. A trained technician is available to discuss your particular repair if need be.

Gentec Service Department’s hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m

This Policy is to assure that our products are shipped, stored, distributed and maintained to the highest standards.

To obtain warranty service, the purchaser should return the product or the defective part(s), carefully packed and with proof of purchase date to Gentec International or to the shop/store where the product was purchased.

This warranty does not cover any defects or costs caused by:

modification, alteration, repair or service of this product by anyone other than Manfrotto

physical abuse to, overload of, or misuse of, the product or operation thereof in a manner contrary to the instructions accompanying the product

any use of the product other than that for which it was designed

shipment of the product to Manfrotto for service

failure to comply with care and maintenance instructions accompanying the product

Unless local law in the country, state or region of purchase dictates otherwise, Manfrotto will under no circumstances be liable for any special incidental or consequential damages, including, but not limited to, personal injury, property damage, damage to or loss of equipment, lost profits or revenue, costs of renting replacements and other additional expenses, even if Manfrotto has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In accepting this warranty you agree that the terms and conditions of it are the entire agreement between us relating to the extension of the liability of us as the producer under the law of the country, state or region where the product has been sold. In particular there is no other express or implied warranty given by Manfrotto as the producer to you.

Storage, use and distribution of the information you provide by completing the registration form and questionnaire at the Online Product Registration website, and clicking the relevant box on the form, you authorize Manfrotto and those companies directly involved in the fulfillment of our limited warranty extension to use the information you give for the following purposes to:

fulfill our obligations under the limited warranty extension, in order to offer you a better service

keep track of product sales, production batches and defects, in order to improve existing products

perform statistical research and analysis of market trends in order to improve new products

Your information will be stored electronically by Manfrotto, and may be given to Manfrotto distributors for service or repair of your product under the limited warranty extension. You can write to us at any time to see a copy of the information from you that we have stored, and you can also ask us at any time to cancel all information held about you.

Photo Products (Entry-level Enthusiast)
Element, Compact, PIXI, Pocket, & TwistGrip collections, and all accessories, are covered by a Standard Limited Warranty (2 years from the date of purchase) and are eligible for a free Limited Conventional Warranty Extension for an additional 3 years, providing 5 years of coverage from the date of purchase, upon Online Product Registration.

Photo Products (Professional, Advanced Hobbyist)
All Manfrotto Photo Products (excluding the ones mentioned in the previous paragraph) are covered by a Standard Limited Warranty (two years from the date of purchase) and eligible for a free Limited Conventional Warranty Extension for an additional eight years – thus, up to 10 years coverage from the date of purchase – upon Online Product Registration.

KLYP+
All Manfrotto KLYP+ products are covered by a Standard Limited Warranty (2 years from the date of purchase).

Video Products
All Manfrotto Video products and accessories are covered by a Standard Limited Warranty (2 years from the date of purchase) and eligible for a free Limited Conventional Warranty Extension for an additional 3 years, providing 5 years of coverage from the date of purchase, upon Online Product Registration.

Lighting Products (Supports)
All Manfrotto Lighting products are covered by a Standard Limited Warranty (2 years from the date of purchase) and eligible for a free Limited Conventional Warranty Extension for an additional 3 years, providing 5 years of coverage from the date of purchase, upon Online Product Registration.

Lighting Products (LEDs)
All Manfrotto LEDs are covered by a Standard Limited Warranty (2 years from the date of purchase) and eligible for a free Limited Conventional Warranty Extension for an additional 2 years, providing 4 years of coverage from the date of purchase, upon Online Product Registration.

Bags and Straps
All Manfrotto and National Geographic bags and straps are covered by a Standard Limited Warranty (2 years from the date of purchase) and eligible for a free Limited Conventional Warranty Extension for an additional 3 years, providing 5 years of coverage from the date of purchase, upon Online Product Registration.

Digital Director
All Manfrotto Digital Director products, including frames, are covered by a Standard Limited Warranty (2 years from the date of purchase).
