WHAT TO DO WHEN SERVICE IS NEEDED ON YOUR JOBY PRODUCTS IN CANADA

Step 1:  Package the product and relevant accessories carefully, using ample padding materials and a sturdy mailing container to prevent damage in transit.

Step 2:  Include in package:

  1. Complete name, return address and daytime telephone number (fax number and e-mail address optional).
  2. Detailed description of the problem.
  3. Where practical, a sample evidencing the problem.
  4. For warranty repairs, a copy of the dated sales slip of original purchase.

Step 3: Customer pays shipping to Gentec International and we cover the return shipping for all in warranty repairs.

If there is a cost associated with your repair, you should receive an estimate from our service team within 2-3 business days of its arrival at Gentec. If your product is covered under a warranty repair, your item will be repaired and sent back to you.

If the repair is covered under warranty, return shipping to the customer will be covered by Gentec International. If the item is not covered under warranty, the customer will be responsible for all return shipping fees, whether or not the repair estimate is approved.

Gentec Service Department’s hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Here at JOBY, we take customer service seriously. The way we see it, we’re nothing without our customers, so it’s important to us to take good care of them. The bottom line is that we feel it’s our job to make you happy, and we’ll do almost anything to make sure you are. 

That said, our lawyers have to do their job, too, so they’ve written up some warranty info in “lawyer-speak” for our products.

What Does This Limited Consumer Warranty Cover?

This limited consumer warranty covers any defects in material or workmanship in the new JOBY product accompanied by this warranty statement. This warranty does not affect or modify any warranty provided by the JOBY retailer nor does it affect any additional rights you may have under the laws of your jurisdiction.

How Long Does The Coverage Last?

This warranty lasts two (2) years for all JOBY Products, except for products with electronic components, which are covered under a one (1) year warranty.

What Does This Warranty Not Cover?

This warranty does not cover damage caused by improper care, mishandling, misuse, alteration, or accidental damage; nor does it cover the natural breakdown of materials that occurs after extended use. 

Also, this warranty excludes all claims to any incidental or consequential loss to personal property.

What Do You Have To Do to Place a Warranty Claim?

You will be required to submit your product to Gentec International for inspection to confirm the defect, along with your original receipt. JOBY will not provide any coverage under this warranty statement unless your claim is in compliance with all of its terms. To request warranty service and obtain instructions on how to submit your product for inspection, you may either contact the dealer where you purchased your JOBY product or email imaging.service@gentec-intl.com

What Will JOBY Do?

After inspecting the product and confirming the defect, we will, at our discretion, either repair or replace your JOBY product free of charge. If your product is no longer available, we will replace it with a similar product of equal value.
