The MRN-W12S4-IB-LW combines 600 watts RMS of power handling with a long-excursion design that moves more air for stronger low-frequency impact. Made for Infinite-Baffle Installations
The MRN-W12S4-IB-LW is optimized for infinte-baffle marine installations, using the open space behind the mounting panel instead of requiring a traditional subwoofer enclosure. This helps preserve valuable onboard storage while adding powerful, fu;l bodied bass to the system. Its flexible design also supports use in a properly engineered sealed enclosure when the installation calls for one. Ported enclosures are not recommended, helping keep system planning simple and performance consistent.

Powerful Bass That Stays Controlled
Built on Alpine's legendary R-Series platform, the MRN-W12S4-IB-LW uses an ultra-rigid polypropylene and carbon-fiber parabolic cone with a high-excursion suspension to keep bass powerful and controlled as the volume rises. A large 65mm voice coil, double-stacked magnet, and integrated airflow help manage heat during entended playback. Together, these technologies deliver bass that hits with authority, starts and stops cleanly, and gives the music deep, commanding foundation whether cruising at speed or entertaining at the dock.

Distinctive Style with RGB Lighting 
A fixed white grille gives the MRN-W12S4-IB-LW a clean, refined presence that complements white fiberglass, light interiors, and modern marine finishes. Integrated 4-pin RGB LED lighting shines through an optical diffusion grille for a smooth, even glow after sunset, creating anything from subtle accent lighting to a more energetic atomosphere onboard. LED operation requires a compatible controller and remote, sold separately. Pair the subwoofer with Alpine KTX-MRN-LED-RF LED Controller & remote for convenient lighting control.
