The AP-507 is powered by the NCOREx, a cutting-edge power amplifier module crafted by Hypex in the Netherlands and expertly tuned by TEAC. Despite its compact design, the AP-507 delivers impressive performance, with high power output of 170 watts per channel at 4 ohms and up to 350 watts at 8 ohms in BTL mode.
This next-generation NCORE module sets a new standard in audio performance, offering enhanced spatial imaging, a three-dimensional soundstage, and unparalleled clarity. Tailored specifically for the AP-507, TEAC’s custom tuning ensures it delivers the precise sound signature the brand is renowned for. The in-house developed dual-mono buffer amplifier, a critical element for achieving superior sound, has been meticulously redesigned with optimized components and circuitry to elevate sound quality beyond previous models.
The AP-507 is engineered for pristine audio clarity, utilizing fully balanced transmission across all stages of its front-end buffer amplifier and power amplifier sections. This design effectively eliminates common-mode noise, ensuring ultra-low noise signal transmission and an exceptional signal-to-noise ratio for an uncompromised listening experience.
The dual-mono buffer amplifier, a critical component for superior sound quality, has been meticulously refined for the AP-507. By re-evaluating and enhancing its parts and circuitry, TEAC has achieved even greater audio performance than previous models. Both the RCA and XLR input circuits feature the premium Muses 8820E operational amplifier, ensuring high-fidelity sound reproduction. Additionally, the XLR input section is designed without coupling capacitors, eliminating transmission loss and preserving musical detail with unparalleled accuracy and clarity.
The AP-507 features a robust power section for its buffer amplifier, anchored by a large toroidal core transformer. Its dual-mono power rectifier design, with independent left and right channels, ensures optimal channel separation and eliminates interchannel crosstalk. Each channel is equipped with 18,800 μF of capacitance to deliver powerful, clear sound. Additionally, Schottky barrier diodes are incorporated to suppress rectification noise, providing a cleaner, more stable power supply for enhanced performance across all front end sections.
